City Helps Women Find Jobs Near Home
March 29, 2024To help enterprises alleviate employment pressure, Xiajiang (a county in Ji'an, a city in East China's Jiangxi Province) during the past few years has encouraged enterprises to set up "mothers' positions" for women, whose husbands have left home to work elsewhere. As the women work near their homes, they can take care of their parents and children. So far, more than 30 enterprises (in Xiajiang) have combined to employ nearly 1,000 such women. Seen here, employees work in a "mothers' positions" workshop, under Jiangxi Xinmei Medical Supplies Co., Ltd.
